Life is Precious

Make Everyday as Good as You Can

(logical conclusion)

Never Forget

This life may be the only opportunity to experience it. If there is no existence after this one, then we should treat it that way: enjoy it, appreciate it, and make every day one to be proud of.

We won't try to tell you how to live your life beyond, obey the law. But we should be mindful that every life is precious and we shouldn't negatively impact another’s life. Not having a God to answer to in the afterlife is not a free ticket to live this one any way you want. Commit a crime and while there may be no sin against God, there certainly is against Humankind. Some say, if there is no God, what's to stop people from committing rape, robbery, or murder? Well, there are a lot of people who don't believe in God and would never do any of those things simply because of their own moral standards.

Thinking, "they'll get what they deserve in the end" or "God will sort it out" is simply not taking responsibility for ourselves. If there is no God, then clearly “Nobody's going to get judged or pay for their sins in the afterlife”. if there is a God, we believe it's likely God doesn't know we even exist so again, no penalty. Furthermore, if there is a God and God is aware of us and our every action, there still is no guarantee God would judge those actions with the same moral compass we share. If you point to the Ten Commandments and believe they were written by God and not man, it doesn't mean God follows the same rules. Remember it was God who sent a gang of murdering angels to kill the innocent first born children of an entire country in retribution for the actions of one man. Cruel and petty by anyone's standards. If God was all powerful, why not just change Pharaoh's mind?

So, humankind is the only one who can protect and ensure we have the opportunity to life our lives to the fullest. People who commit crimes, cause harm, destroy the peace and well being of others, need to be punished and as severely as possible. We need to ensure those who share the common view that our lives and the lives of others as precious are protected and allowed to live the best lives possible while we are on this Earth -- even if that means acknowledging that some lives are more valuable to society than others. What we have today is all we'll ever have and our time is short. Our bodies and our minds may wear out at different rates. Some of us will leave way too soon. Others will linger far longer than necessary. No matter the amount time, there will be no other time beyond the here and the now -- Protect it.
